Funding applications now open: CSP Charitable Trust

The CSP Charitable Trust has now opened applications for its funding awards. Below are details of what these are and included links if you want to find out any further information, including application guidance and criteria. There is also information about a support webinar for applications for two of the three awards.

Charitable Trust Research Awards Autumn 2024

The research awards are open to chartered members of the CSP. The awards provide funding for research projects, for novice researchers and those with some experience of research.

Up to £50,000 is available per award for the pre-doctoral scheme and up to £100,000 per award for the post-doctoral scheme.

Conference and Presentation Award

The Conference and Presentation Award provides funding for chartered, associate and student members normally residing in the UK, and is divided in to two categories:

Members wishing to contribute to one of the following:

  • A national physiotherapy-specific/relevant conference, including CSP Annual Conference
  • A physiotherapy or interdisciplinary international conference in the UK
  • A national conference or meeting relevant to, but outside of, the domain of physiotherapy
  • An overseas physiotherapy-specific/relevant or interdisciplinary international conference/meeting, including World Physiotherapy Congress.

Members who are up to Band 5 physiotherapists wishing to attend for the first time, and not present at, one of the following:

  • A national physiotherapy-specific/relevant conference, including CSP Annual Conference
  • A physiotherapy international conference in the UK
  • An overseas physiotherapy-specific/relevant conference

The maximum award for an application is £2,500.

The Academically Accredited Courses Award

This award supports applications for national academically accredited or validated programmes, such as national vocational qualifications, BTEC awards, access and postgraduate courses.

Applicants may now apply for up to 50% of their course fees, after deduction of any other sources of funding, to a maximum of £10,000.
