ACPOHE has created a new online journal committed to providing a platform for sharing contemporary research and ideas regarding occupational health and ergonomics.
We are pleased to announce the formation of Journal of Physiotherapy in Work and Health (JPWH).
This is a new open access, internet-only journal, accessible to new researchers, early-career academics and clinicians to share contemporary research and ideas regarding occupational health and ergonomics. Open access means that the articles are immediately freely available to read, download and share.
The Journal of Physiotherapy in Work and Health aims to publish contemporary research, reviews, discussion papers, opinion pieces and editorials in relation to occupational health physiotherapy practice from around the world. We are pleased to receive articles from those involved in research, private and clinical practice as well as physiotherapy students and get a national and international perspective. JPWH will accept papers from a range of research methodologies and topics. It can include editorial comments, case studies, authentic qualitative and quantitative, literature reviews and systematic reviews concerning occupational health, ergonomics, social care, education, ethics, and science.
In addition to accepting research papers from all over the world, JPWH collaborates and promotes submission of those involved with the ACPOHE educational website, undergraduate and postgraduate students in healthcare courses and other allied healthcare professionals who are interested in occupation health. This content, as well as downloads of papers, will be available at no charge.
The Journal of Physiotherapy in Work and Health wants to support and involve clinicians and those who have a difficult time for gaining recognition in many countries around the world. It will also support new researchers in their first steps of publication in a journal. There will no cost for the submission of an article. There is no additional charge for colour pictures or videos. Our publisher is Coventry University, Coventry, UK.
For those who are interested, they can receive notices of new papers being published each month. When papers are accepted, they will be peer-reviewed and published as an accepted manuscript which will then change to the final submission within the new issue. The peer-review process of the Journal of Physiotherapy in Work and Health (JPWH) Journal is based on the COPE Ethical Guidelines for Peer Reviewers (Committee on Publication Ethics, 2017). JPWH follows the processes and guidelines laid out by the Committee on Publication Ethics. As such, all authors will be required to comply with these standards.
