New Public Health strategy urges AHPs to raise their profile
Over the next five years, physiotherapists and other AHPs (Allied Health Professionals) need to develop their skills, demonstrate their impact and raise their profile as public health experts. This is according to the UK AHP Public Health Strategy 2019-2024, published on 8th May by the AHP Federation. Follow links to see the stratergy.
SOM/FOM JOINT STATEMENT IN RESPONSE TO THE NHS LONG TERM PLAN
We welcome this month’s publication of the NHS Long Term Plan. It provides explicit recognition that the performance of any healthcare system depends upon its staff, the conditions under which they work and the support given to them in the workplace.
Available to UK and international qualified health professionals working in the field of occupational health and ergonomics including (but not limited to) occupational therapists, registered general nurses, occupational health advisors, occupational health physicians, graduate ergonomists and Chiropractors - such membership being at the Executive’s discretion. Associate members must have equivalent professional membership.
Open to student members of the CSP (Chartered Society of Physiotherapy) who have an interest in occupational health. Student membership offers the same great benefits as Standard Membership.
Cost (as of January 2023) £15 per annum.
Student members should move to a Standard Membership on first renewal date after the completion of their course.
