Course Aims/Summary:

This interactive webinar provides physiotherapists with the skills needed to develop and deliver an engaging and evidence-based manual handling workshop.  Key legislation relating to manual handling shall be reviewed, as well as objective methods for assessing and controlling the risks posed by manual handling.

The evidence surrounding manual handling techniques will be explored and delegates will have the opportunity to work in small groups to critique and suggest ways of improving manual handling manoeuvres. The essential factors to consider when developing a manual handling course for a customer or client are explored, including what content to include and how to deliver an engaging session.
